VISION(S)

All I want to do is take my athletically sized legs and curiously step towards unfamiliar territory. Right now when I look down, my feet are currently at the alter of what I call semi-non-fiction visual art. This work transmutes information of reality (photography, sound, images, writing, whatever that’s densely rich with information) in unusual methods to create whole new entities.

I make work with three intentions: 1) Immediate visceral intrigue- as if you were experiencing a new flavor. 2) Intellectual shock, a magic trick of sorts since you cannot comprehend the space between your understanding and the reality of where the work comes from. And finally 3), I want the work to make you think. This is where I hope you spend most of your time.

I play at the intersection of information, complexity, spontaneity, and the absurdity that accompanies it all.

I compulsively create things in whatever domain I am curious about. You will find that anyone who is highly creative has an obsessive level of curiosity and they compulsively make things in whatever domain they like. For me, I find that the visual arts allows me explore a variety of my interests all at once.

I’m inspired by John Cage, Claude Shannon, Rick Rubin, Thom York, Escher, Richard Feynman, Dali, Leonardo Davinci, Naval Ravikant, Emerson, and anyone in any field who has an insatiable curiosity and obsession with creating.
